In Which I Introduce Myself

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

Hello there!

I’ve been here before, 2 years ago. But when WordPress changed its formats, I got lost and couldn’t find my way back. I missed it a lot, so I finally got some help and here I am. 2 years ago I chose to write about the pros and cons of growing old. Aging does have its unique features, but then so does every stage of life. How people view old women and men depends on their age and also perhaps how many old people they’ve known.

Remember when you were 22, how you thought folks over 30 were finished with any semblance of youth, but when you got to those ages you found those things weren’t true? Well, when you’re young and you see a wrinkled arm, it’s repugnant because your biological priorities are all about attraction. But once it’s no longer a priority and you see wrinkles, your own or other people’s, they’re just one part of the package and you’d be surprised at how quickly they fade as you talk to someone.

So while my blog may be a lot about things relating to my stage of life, I hope they can be of interest to others. Age is not a foreign language. You will understand, I’m sure, what I’m saying. Read on!

Hi Ellen – I’m so tickled you’re back to blogging. I love your new blog – it’s going to be fun to see what you share here. Thank you for stopping by my blog. You left me a feedback message that I couldn’t reply to. Your question was about you not being able to comment on one of my posts. Here’s the answer – I have a setting in my theme that closes comments after 30 days. I had to do that when I updated my blog, so the new posts would work. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Happy Blogging to you!!
